Because of poverty and lack of interest for girl’s education, most parents in the slums didn’t want their girls to continue their studies after a certain age. Most of these bright girl students of poor families are forced to drop out from school and engaged themselves to household chores in an early age.
To address the problem, every year Ruchika provides educational sponsorship to girl students and parental counseling. This year also the organization gave sponsorship to 80 poor girls studying in Class IV to Class X. Total 12 girls appeared for Class-X Board examinations this year and passed with excellent marks.
